Puerto Plata – the capital of the amber coast

We will start the trip witg the visit of the largest and oldest rum producing factory in the Dominican Republic. Here you can not only to taste the rum, but also buy it for very cheap price. The tasting of rum will prepare you for the next experience of our day trip.

After visiting the rum factory, we will take a cableway which brings us to the about 800m high Isabel de Torres. At the top of the mountain you can take a walk through a botanical garden with a breathtaking view of the city and the port of Puerto Plata.

The next stop will be the 27 waterfalls – Damajagua, about 20 minutes away, which you can slide down like tobogans. – here you will experience the right adrenaline …. (there is the option to slide down 7 waterfalls (included), 12 (surcharge 5 USD) or all 27 waterfalls (surcharge 10 USD)) The great lunch in Dominican style is included.

Upon returning to the city center, we visit several manufactories (larimar, amber, cigars, mamajuana and local folk creativity) and we will take a tour around the city and the port of Puerto Plata – the historic square (central park), the harbor fortress and the waterfront.

Trip price

The trip is organized individually for you without any agencies – you are not limited in time and you schedule your trip by your requirements.

Price varies on the number of people attending.

2 persons – approx. 125 USD / person (price is approximate – subject to agreement)

3-4 persons – approx. 105 USD / person (the price is approximate – subject to agreement)

5-10 persons – about 95 USD / person (the price is approximate – subject to agreement)

Everything is included into the price of the trip – including lunch and drinks – water, juice, cola, rum, beer.

The trip can be planned without drinks and lunch – a discount of 20 USD / person.
